THE ENDODONTISTS
An endodontist is a specialist dentist in the field of Endodontics and is registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as such. All dental specialists initially trained as dentists.
To become an endodontist, a full time two to three year successful course of study with a recognised university dental school is required. The qualification gained is generally called a Master of Dental Science or Dental Surgery. This is in addition to the training required to becoming a dentist.
